This morning I drove past a deep blue and very still Lake Taupo contrasting with a dramatic blue sky and purpley distant mountains, all strikingly juxtaposed with the bleached out lake surrounds (it is very, very dry in central NZ). But sadly no camera.

If you are just above sea level eg standing in the water or sitting in a kayak, the horizon does not appear to be as far away as when you are higher up eg on a hill. Isn't that logical, as you are closer to the surface of the earth? You have to be in sea without waves to notice it best.
Anyhow here is another blue vista with Mt Maunganui. -
Sorry UFO didn't show up in that picture (I think it must be on my screen). But more beautiful summer blues.

Have just been given a packet of pistachio halva! Never had it before. Turkish. Will take it to a family party we are having tomorrow and hope to have a taste. No palm oil.

It is hard to know whether there is palm oil in any product because it goes by a lot of different names, usually not palm oil.
