Science is the poetry of reality," it feels as if he wants not so much a world free of superstition as a world free of metaphor.
Seen Il Postinio?http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Il_Postino
Nona (to Priest): That poet, he is seducing my niece with metaphor!

Conan isn't real.? Ian is Nietzsche?
I had to stop there, head exploded. -
"During the single visit to Mermaids that constitutes the whole of my research into the topic, I was fascinated by the young, slighty alternative couple sitting opposite us at the catwalk. They were having a whale of time; grinning, cheering, applauding. It was surprisingly unsleazy."
That's because here on The Island http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Island_%282005_film%29, everyone is filmed, especially young, slightly alternative couples... -

The plot is interesting, very interesting. The Grateful Dead were HUGE fans of The Ring Cycle. -
Das Rheingold (The Ring Cycle)was compulsory viewing (listening) for SS officers. Hitler may well have known the irony, because in Twilight Of The Gods, everything gets burned down (like Berlin).
This is also why Wagner is considered suspect by some. -

It was from Camus, they did change it, wikipedia link above, and I'm thinking of other songs that didn't rock the boat but maybe should have,
Holiday In Cambodia, Dead Kennedy's
Charlie Don't Surf, The Clash
And then I'm thinking about political songs and pop, haven't Pearl Jam recently been censored for anti-Bush lyrics? -
New Order.
David Sylvian.
I like the old stuff too, the new stuff just got betterer. -
Well, I *do* like pina coladas. And getting caught in the rain.
