I gotta say the 'local sounds' splash screen is naff.
It looks like a recruitment ad for the Young Nats circa 1990.
So where is all the local content - 12 albums?
Step up to the plate local record companies.
How ironic that one of the first local albums for downloads is by those anti-commerical guys the Mint Chicks. -

Yep - looks liek a few bugs to be ironed out.
I hope Apple have got some serious server grunt and back-ups going on - this thing is going to get some serious traffic....

Compaines are always quick to 'leak' info about their sales figures shooting up after launching a service.
Kind of like the continious 'we're number one' headlines that the Sunday Herald and Sunday Star Times put in their papers.
Every week.Still, a 200% increase in sales seems a big jump.

As I said earlier in this post (which was edited for 'sensitive' reasons) I already own what is brande in the US as an iTunes phone.
I can load tracks onto the memory card and play them like an iPod.
What I'm saying is I don't NEED my phone to be an audio player.
Doesn't mean I don't like the idea. -
Back to iTunes NZ.
What do you think will be the most popular local download (NZ Track).
Fat Freddie's insert track name here sure, wahtever, blah blah blah but I'm thinking maybe something like 'Poi E'?

but there's something really unnerving/galling/whatever to see a guy 10 years young that yourself swilling beer in front of a computer with a hoodie worth $60m+ USD.
well, at least he's not a Paris Hilton type of millionaire...
