Hard News: Nobody wanted #EQNZ for Christmas, in reply to
No it wouldn't.
What of the electrocuted Roofer? These cordonds have saved no-one.
This position would require a basic inversion of our current process.
Firstly remove the largest threat first, not the easiest.
Blow up the big buildings, use Artillary if explosives can't be safely laid by engineers. This is the tried and true war recovery action.
Strap masonry, don't brace it. This way it'll rock n roll, not bash itself up.
Our environment has been designed to milk the Insurance industry for Feltchers. -
Newcastle guys came over and campaiged for open access to the City Centre, as their fenched off city died due to cordons.
It didn't get through.
No-ones mentioned Roger Sutton for Mayor. He's harder to find these days than Waldo ever was. -
It has to be someone new outside of Council. Mike Coleman or Peter Beck (Pesky Preists), Megan Wood (Good Chick er Sydham MP) maybe someone unknown.

I don't want to see Gary Moore back as Mayor. Nice guy, I like him alot. He is part of the problem setting up the Council owned businesses, and lossing touch with "The People".

It is incredible they have cut through Parkers PR. He could have had a Knighthood, & a Speaking Tour, a Book, the Movie, & he still might those last two, just not the ending it could have been.

DeepRed, if you're looking for the Iraq Christchurch connection, here it is.
Mike Shatford General Manager Communications for CERA would be your man to do Disaster Capitalism.
His only statement I recall was about hiring a social media consultant (I assume his niece or is that just EQC?).

It all makes sense now.
1 Feb rally was to allow time for the OIA to work, so that the internal review of Tony Marryatts performance could come to light & makes liars of Sideshow & Eject Button. They show him doing only moderately well at his job and his performance has continued to slide since at least 2009...
The documents also include advice to the council that Mr Marryatt's original salary of $470,000 was substantially above the median salary offered to chief executives in large public sector organisations.

So what do we do when the Mayor & Deputy Mayor deliberately lie to the people?
There must be a remedy. -
Play spot the difference with Kerry Marshall & Tony Marryatts Job Descriptions.
They are there, if you look hard enough.2 B may meet with, and offer advice and assistance to, the elected

"I want to show my commitment to Christchurch..." - Marrayatt
Maybe living in Christchurch could be considered the minimum you could do?That said I like the fact you're a Hamiltonian and will leave us some day (soon ).
He is right though, our idiots employed him, rehired him and threw more money at him.
It isn't a pay rise or a bonus, it has no basis I'm aware of for being paid. It's just more money. It hasn't been about the dollars for most of us, envy of greed or however else it might be described.
It's interesting he's insisting Crs follow guide lines, when that is the gripe most often raise of him.

I thought counting the many failures of CCC, giving a 14% pay rise a month after the contract was signed, was a Reginald Perrin call for self destruction. It seems I was wrong (or Bob really is Reginald), they really do believe they're doing well & he deserves it.
The very many failures and loss of life might have been sobering, but they weren't.
That is so much scarier.
