Why did you feel the need to defend conseismal from some of the comments he received earlier?
Is it really necessary to respond on the same level as the offender?

*Relationship to land & other land-dwelling species.
*Relationship to the water bodies, especially the seas (in Maori terms, land & sea are antipathetical,) and most of all,
*Relationship to other humans, both in whakapapa terms, current whanau obligations, and experiential terms.I agree with that.
But to suggest that religion is essential because the basics of philosophy are too difficult for the average person is quite incorrect, in my experience.
For me the difficulty is not that people might not understand it. If ethical values will be taught on a philosophical basis, I think that is good.
In German schools ethics courses are just taught as a substitution of religious courses and I don't know if they would exist without each other.
Is there a basic ethic course in NZ schools?

Not really. Of topic talk can be quite interesting...:)

I don't use the concept of virtual not to filter opinions that I disagree with, but for statements, which have no relevance to the discussion.

That is probably because I also act like I would, if we would have a talk like this in another surrounding. Not everyone does though.
Sometimes this concept is not healthy at all. When people just show up to insult people or make a mess, I wouldn't take it really serious.

that's really a good one...;)

Thank you for the hospitality.

Hi Jackie, I don't have any problem to get this point. I really appreciate this concept.
From my viewpoint there is another layer of interaction as soon as random people enter the discussion. There I think the discussion is located in a more virtual dimension.

In my opinion it is very sad that religion dies out in our societies. On the one hand religion is an important notion of culture and on the other hand it establishes a broad moral basis, which can be only achieved by intense philosophical studies.

The Zaoui Act (Immigration Act 2009) is by far the worst legislation of this bad bunch.
If that's the policy that is used to deal with foreigners, why doesn't the police just take DNA samples from every immigrant as well?
"intend" to arrest
I hope that is nothing less than a penalty order. Otherwise it could run a little bit out of control.
