Good question! Probably developing, watching the image appear. Other than that there is something about time, it seems to disappear in the darkroom in quite a nice way : )

Thanks for posting this Jackson. I really like the stillness and simplicity in many of these photos - finding something eyecatching and interesting in scenes we might take for granted otherwise.

Love the lachanalias, I was given some years ago and I'm always pleasantly surprised when they pop up again each year. -

definitely a rose. must just be one of those really robust ones. or maybe artificial? though the leaves look real enough.
