The current laws around recreational drugs have been around for decades and are clearly a failure by any measure.
Surely continuing with prohibition is the more reckless option.

I am hoping it might be just a little bit injurious to Mr Hosking's ego for his ill-informed belches to be classed as something less than Premium Content. Which of course they are.

Yes, media accuracy is often absent when it comes to drugs.
Like the report in Stuff yesterday about the French tourists caught with a large amount of Cannabis in their car:
"Police went to the scene and found the two men and 2.43kg of cannabis in one ounce bags.
The estimated street value was between $40,000 and $50,000, Watt said."Which would mean a value of between $466 and $583 per ounce.

So you're supportive of entitled tossers who move into an area fully aware of a local activity that has existed for nearly 90 years, and then expect said activity to move away because they don't like it?

Thanks for the Diatribe bio Russell, some great memories there.
Sadly their drummer, Chris Whyte, passed away last week. Chris was a dear friend, and I have much to be grateful to him for, expanding my horizons and introducing me to a whole mess of different and new (to me) music. Never one to seek attention, he was, as you say, integral to Diatribe's sound.

Good grief. I would regard any gig at Spark to be so compromised by terrible sound, awful beer for which there are long queues, and over-zealous security that they're generally not worth attending. Regardless of the act.
Compare that experience to a variety of sights and sounds in beautiful surroundings on a sunny Auckland afternoon and I know which I would rather spend my cash on.
And I have it on good authority that the regular appearances by Grace Jones in Sydney are nothing short of amazing. She is, even at 69, something to behold.
So nah.
